Not sure why they decided to hide the html code...but whatever.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5929158981/" title="0608ed by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6128/5929158981_7fe98890b1.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="0608ed"></a><br /><br />These were originally taken by my mother at my wedding, I could not figure out how to photograph it myself. I am working on a album right now for my wedding and honeymoon and actually decided to re-edit the pictures into a different style. I wanted all my wedding shots to look uniform and to look kind of old. I also wanted no real color in them, so I went with a sephia look. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5929158671/" title="0561ed by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6002/5929158671_bc580e1bdc.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="0561ed"></a><br /><br />As I went along I started to make them look more aged as well by adding in blurs to wash parts of the photos out. I think overall it really came together nicely and the pages turned out looking good. Now to start working on the rest of the bookJason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-11960689617792003872011-01-24T06:10:00.000-08:002011-01-24T06:50:17.859-08:00FacesMy wife took all of these pictures, maybe she will come back and add in her own words about them. The paper was made in photoshop and I call it dirty paper. It was made to look old timey and dirty as if it was in a journal or book carried around by a adventurer for a long time. Was thinking of adding in some tears but I felt that was to much as its not supposed to be anciant....just not in great condition. <br /><br />Upgraded to CS5 photoshop and needed something fun to do to play around in it...dirty paper<br /><br />Gobulle<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5124723230/" title="Gobulle by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/5124723230_48c2fde9b6_b.jpg" width="731" height="1024" alt="Gobulle" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5119106457/" title="ffxivgame 2010-10-26 03-23-15-68 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1057/5119106457_27b9f50dbb.jpg" width="500" height="281" alt="ffxivgame 2010-10-26 03-23-15-68" /></a><br /><br />F'lhaminn<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5124724932/" title="F'lhaminn by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1130/5124724932_bcfe14f896_b.jpg" width="731" height="1024" alt="F'lhaminn" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5119683558/" title="ffxivgame 2010-10-26 03-20-08-78 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4049/5119683558_21375211e8.jpg" width="500" height="281" alt="ffxivgame 2010-10-26 03-20-08-78" /></a>Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-59024014438365094302010-10-19T02:36:00.000-07:002010-10-19T03:07:44.788-07:00Transformers G1 Represent!I had more photos in this set, but they turned out looking quite bad once I put them in my flickr. I couldn't tell if it was the monitor at work I was looking at them on or if I had a bad angle on my laptop when I was editing that messed up the look of them. Either way I left a few of the bad ones in to look at them on another computer later, they are the first few. I had to much red in them and it really messed up my editing process. I should have picked a better backdrop....or any backdrop really. But here is my latest set, more may come later once I figure out a better place to take them.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0592 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096403992/"><img height="752" alt="Dinobots are old school gangsta!" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4108/5096403992_14a93d4598_o.jpg" width="500" /></a><br /><br />I have always loved transformers, and G1 or Generation 1 has always been my favorite line of there toys and comics. Basically its the style of which they are made and done int. As the years went by they made new series that had the same people but the would redo the entire look of them. G1 is the 80's classic look and the best looking one in my opinion.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0611 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096404186/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0611" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4083/5096404186_dd3f8f3df5_o.jpg" width="752" /></a><br /><br />Toys R us have been releasing remakes of the older 80's toys in a classic series for awhile now. Most of the good ones are already long since done and gone but you can occasionally find one on a shelf if you look hard enough. Wal-mart and I believe target also get 1 or 2 releases a year. There not vey often and there very rare.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0574 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096403600/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0574" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4107/5096403600_b222f5e314_o.jpg" width="752" /></a><br /><br />This one is Perceptor, transforms into a microscope and then a crappy looking tank. he has no real movement as his legs have no joints but simply swing out to the side. His feet don't move either but simply tuck under him. It would be a crapy toy in this day and age but because of what it is and when it was first put out its a "Classic" Honestly I love the damn thing. Its got horrid colors and the decals are so lame looking. Its not something you see anymore, its the first one I have found from the remake series.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0637 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096404572/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0637" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4092/5096404572_eeea550865_o.jpg" width="752" /></a><br /><br />This is Grimlock, leader of the dino bots. When I was a kid he was my hands down favorite and still comes in pretty close to it now. I saw this a few days ago while shopping for my nephews birthday and just froze up. They had 1 and I had no clue they even put it out, a masterpiece Grimlock. Its pretty big to, I had to have it....but it was pretty costly. They double the price for the remakes, because they can. It may also be because there is alot of metal and higher quality parts but I doubt it. I carried this thing around cradling it in my arms trying to convince myself not to buy it.<br /><br />Obviously I ended up with it.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0649 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5095808201/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0649" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4110/5095808201_18c8d416fb_o.jpg" width="752" /></a><br /><br />TANK MODE!<br /><br />Yeah look out for that one.....lol he was a nobody in the show and the books from what I remember. I had a big battle between him and Grimmy up there. It didn't go well for him.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0641 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096404756/"><img height="752" alt="DSC_0641" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4090/5096404756_e39f592b5a_o.jpg" width="500" /></a><br /><br />The microscope mode was actually pretty neat looking I thought, but they didn't make it functional. Seems it wouldn't have been hard to make it magnify atleast a litte. You can already look down the scope and see the other side, but it doesn't enlarge it any. Missed opertunity there guys<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0620 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5096404346/"><img height="752" alt="DSC_0620" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4085/5096404346_0f4f8a9938_o.jpg" width="500" /></a><br /><br />Posing it up, grimlock has a laser sword and gun. Neat 80's features on this toy....they kind of sorta light up....abit. And his eyes change from red to blue if you want. He also closes his dino mouth and can turn his head if you push his tail back and forth. You just don't get features like that anymore.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0678 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5095808393/"><img height="500" alt="DSC_0678" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4129/5095808393_91bec52eaa_o.jpg" width="752" /></a><br /><br />Honestly though I still think this is one of the best looking transformers even from the new line ups I have seen and the Bay movies. And by far my new favorite in my collection, gotta keep a eye out for more classics though.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkCRPHDAKZHysAcCVLKNxMbw-n5OXDPMz_vaohl8VV7uB-E1UY9slxh9K6uiUFd2iJsie410NMk3yxPWZRuRTo5BaoWHO4k7ZEACcgFc3mC-GsLEFOinNeW075rMRv-OnSRlzoiLiUHyzR/s1600/!B44Fc7gEWk~%24(KGrHqN,!g0EyrwpLPRQBMrgUd)jIg~~_3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529695918140427170" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 318px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkCRPHDAKZHysAcCVLKNxMbw-n5OXDPMz_vaohl8VV7uB-E1UY9slxh9K6uiUFd2iJsie410NMk3yxPWZRuRTo5BaoWHO4k7ZEACcgFc3mC-GsLEFOinNeW075rMRv-OnSRlzoiLiUHyzR/s320/!B44Fc7gEWk~%24(KGrHqN,!g0EyrwpLPRQBMrgUd)jIg~~_3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Like this one, Soundwave G1 re-release from the San diego Comic Con. My wifes birthday is coming up and I have been struggling to find her something other then what I have already and she expressed interest in something "Creative"<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5058299108/" title="2 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4108/5058299108_86d100ff3f_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="2" /></a><br /><br />We went to a art show this weekend and it made both of us want to do something more artsy. I managed to find a extra canvas laying around and my wife bought some encaustic wax to play around with. I always loved The Nightmare Before Christmas and have painted it before so this was a easy choice to make<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5058305438/" title="3 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4110/5058305438_3c556433b7_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="3" /></a><br /><br />As I said this was for my wife, I actually got the original picture from a childrens story book. The 13 days of christmas, my wife saw it and said she loved the hearts in the skull made of smoke. So I figured I could take that picture from the book and make something nice out of it.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5058312682/" title="4 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4085/5058312682_3f6afc0efa_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="4" /></a><br /><br />Its done in acrylic or however thats spelled and I used just the primary colors with black and white to tint. I did however add a special touch to it to make it better for my wife. She loves shiny things and I had some glitter pigmentless paint. It shows up in the last 2 pictures but it makes the border shine and sparkle and she loved it.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5058317598/" title="5 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/5058317598_a47f37f9f1_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="5" /></a><br /><br />Her birthday is on the 10th, however painting something takes a lot of time and its hard to hide so she already knows about it and has seen it. She actually watched me paint a good deal of it over the day and was very supportive of the whole process.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5057712171/" title="6 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4085/5057712171_d422f5d112_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="6" /></a><br /><br />Here it is finished, the wife is happy and we both had a fun vacation. This was just a nice fun way to cap it off before I have to go back to work tomorow. The white lines on it are chalk marks and will rub off once it has finished drying. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/5057716853/" title="7 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4153/5057716853_0384f638a6_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="7" /></a><br /><br />Thanks for looking, next update should be back to normal photos. This was a nice change of pace for me. When we get it hung up somewhere maybe I can get some better shots. The light was making the colors look odd and you can see the reflection in many shots. But I didn't want to move it until it was finished.Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-33532908410235079842010-09-13T04:37:00.000-07:002010-09-13T05:00:54.982-07:00Halo: War of the megablocks<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4985735437/" title="DSC_0141 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4103/4985735437_f4c70db13f_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0141" /></a><br /><br />So tomorow is my birthday, and if you know me you know I enjoy my games. Halo is a huge fanchise that has been around for quite a few years now and I even remember the first time I played it back in 2003 with my friend Justin. His dad knew he wanted the new xbox and would torment him by leaving Huge X's all around for him to find. Come home and see a large X on his bed room door, at lunch a large X would be made out of cards on the table. It was all in good fun until his dad finally broke down and bought a xbox....for himself. This may sound mean but it was actually a smart move as it meant the system would stay in the family room and not the boys room so everybody could enjoy it by playing games or using it as there first dvd player. When he bought it though he bought this one game I couldn't for the life of me stand playing. Halo:Combat Evolved. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4986354212/" title="DSC_0182 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4103/4986354212_01f98278f3_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0182" /></a><br /><br />It was a sci-fi shooter about humanities last stand against the covenant, a unbeatable alien force. The game was well reviewed and considered one of the best shooters of its time. I just didn't enjoy it, the aiming was confusing and I was no good at it. I played it and beat it a few times with him while I was hanging out at his house but only because it was something to do and it was Justin's favorite game. <br /><br />Eventually I started to get better and I do remember right before graduation getting a huge group of people together and hooking up 3 xboxs in 3 different rooms to have some pretty intense team matches. <br /><br />Fast forward a few years and we get Halo 2, it looked and felt the same but it had something slightly different. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4985741937/" title="DSC_0152 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4129/4985741937_340d6207a1_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0152" /></a><br /><br />It was shinier, and had a pretty bland story. However for some reason I bought it even after hating the first one. Somehow though I started to get into it, and I became hooked on the franchise as a whole. Halo 3 improved and even added online into the equation for me.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.bungie.net/account/profile.aspx?uid=7205482"><img src="http://www.bungie.net/card/bnet/Alwc66.ashx"/></a><br /><br />Once a spartan, always a spartan. With each new game it quickly found its way onto my list of favorite franchises. I bought 3 copies of halo 3, one normal, one limited, and one legendary edition which came with a helmet. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4986345576/" title="DSC_0164 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4124/4986345576_7e09a54a64_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0164" /></a><br /><br />What does this have to do with my birthday? Well its rather neat, the newest game comes out on my birthday September 14th. This is due mostly to the fact that the main marine in the series, John 117 or Master Chief, fought his first live combat mission on that date. However I have decided to also say that the game is my gift from Bungie for supporting them and there series thus far. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4986350612/" title="DSC_0200 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4144/4986350612_c099b73e90_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0200" /></a><br /><br />So I get the new Halo game, and my wife goes all out and decides to make my birthday even more Halo by picking me up every halo megablocks set she could find. I have yet to even build them all and there will surely be more pictures as small toys are quite fun to photograph and work as excellent learning aids. <br /><br />So there is it, how a post about my birthday ended up being all about halo. Thats because this year all my gifts center around it. I have halo toys, halo video games, im picking up a halo dvd, and my mother has gotten me some killer new headphones for my game systems and pc that will work with the new halo game. So happy birthday to me, and if your wondering how I have these even though my birthday isn't until tomorow......well lets just say me and my wife have trouble keeping gifts. I already gave her her birthday presents and hers is still a month away.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4985732499/" title="DSC_0174 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4083/4985732499_996ebf8c8d_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0174" /></a>Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-73061360791557332712010-08-07T19:25:00.000-07:002010-08-07T19:39:22.561-07:00500 752<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4870000479/" title="DSC_0800 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4114/4870000479_da836c4d1b_o.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0800" /></a><br /><br />On our vacation we decided to go out and buy some stuff to play around the house with. When we came back to pick him up they said they actually decided to give him to another family. We left and found Thomas later that day and I decided everything happens for a reason and went with him. Later we got a call the other family decided they no longer wanted the first cat and we picked him up aswell. He is roughly 12 years old and does this neat trick where he begs you for food. I'll get a picture of it later. Until then this should hold you over.<br /><br /><a title="DSC_0042 by alwc37, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4631190815/"><img alt="DSC_0042" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4026/4631190815_8f51cf8500_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" /></a><br /><br />That cat is crazy about noodles, he loves pasta of any kind. So this may be the last batch from that trip. Quite a few of these are taken behind fences and it messes with the picture. Even if I focus on the subject behind it the fence still gets in the shot. I have edited them out to the best of my abilities but it still makes for some fuzzy shots. Enjoy them<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4289615945/" title="DSC_0229 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4001/4289615945_ec96c7c157_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0229" /></a><br /><br />There is actually a baby on the stomach of this one. It was the closest they ever got to me and the only real shot I got of the baby. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4290359708/" title="DSC_0214 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4016/4290359708_0eb6e88ed7_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0214" /></a><br /><br />No fence on this one, just a bad shot lol. Well when your done what do you normally do, and I really want you to think about this. Generally speaking, you just pop it out and go on your merry way I bet, this however is not smart. I did this with my card with my honey moon pictures on it and it became damaged, I lost everything on there and it would not be read by any camera or computer. Thankfully there are options when in this situation. Card recovery software or www.cardrecovery.com thats the one I used. Yeah its 40 bucks but it repared and restored over 1000 pictures that would have been lost if not for that. <br /><br />Now how does one properly and safely eject a card so this doesn't happen to them? Well its rather simple. On the start bar near the clock you will see a icon with a silver box and a green arrow on top of it. Click on that and it will show you the drive with your card in it. Click on that and tell it to eject. Wait a second or 2 and a message will pop up telling you its safe to remove it. Thats it, just do that and you shold be fine. And if something does happen don't reformat the card thinking there is nothing you can do about it. It can be fixed and data can be saved, it is rare that anything is actually lost in situations like this. <br /><br />Now to pictures, from downtown disney, from my honey moon. Bobbie I know your reading this as your half of my 2 readers, and I love you. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287743520/" title="File0966 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/4287743520_fbf54f2f8d_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0966" /></a><br /><br />Its worth noting that my wife took most of these pictures. Its nice that she is somewhat interested in this aswell. This picture took her afew tries as she wanted one of him actually spitting. This is above one of the entrances to there main store down there and is where a few of the other pictures will be houses at. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287744274/" title="File0974 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2711/4287744274_943b58d262_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="File0974" /></a><br /><br />Over by the scrapbook store and art gallery I always have to vist was this neat little statue. It has 3 of the brooms from sorcerer mickey in fantasia. Fantasia is a horrible little boring movie im sure you had to watch when you were little and didn't enjoy. However it had a few good parts and this was one of the 2 of them.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287743958/" title="File0980 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4060/4287743958_89c5d488d7_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="File0980" /></a><br /><br />They have these 9" blank mickey statues all around the park. You buy them then paint them to create your own mickey doll. I wanted one so bad till I saw the price tag, 40 dollars.....I get that thats disney priceing but this is just a rip off of mighty muggs and there 9" model is only 10 dollars. So im paying 30 dollars more for the ears? I'll just sculpt my own thankyou. Disney, if your going to steal a good idea, atleast price it at a reasonable mark up. End rant<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287743242/" title="File0971 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2785/4287743242_ae371d6148_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0971" /></a><br /><br />Next stop is the Christmas store, I always go there to look at there nightmare merchandise. They have probally the largest selection outside of the magic kingdom. Bobbie really likes pretty sparkly things so she took these of the snowflakes as well as the fairy shots below.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287001237/" title="File0970c by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/4287001237_584eaab476_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0970c" /></a><br /><br />Fairy lore had pretty much 2 trends, pretty little cute fairies that fly around helping animals and using magic for good or otherwise useful purposes such as disneys tinkerbell.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287000565/" title="File0970 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4053/4287000565_d7170ae9a8_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0970" /></a><br /><br />And the more darker and much more common thoughts of them as not evil but mostly mischevious little fairies. They play tricks and use there magic to amuse themselfs usually at a humans expense. Bobbie likes pretty things and I like dark things, so I have 2 versions of this picture. One for her and one for me.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287002039/" title="File0962 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2713/4287002039_cfb187d4ab_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0962" /></a><br /><br />Show like CSI have taught us that dead men tale tales indeed. And usually not good ones. These next few pirate shots are all in a toystore in the huge disney store with stitch on it you saw above.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287742596/" title="File0960 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2714/4287742596_b08a4557ae_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0960" /></a><br /><br />Ah the dreaded halo effect...seriously who puts lights like that by pirates? They should be well lit from lighting that doesn't mess with my pictures. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287000007/" title="File0956 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4287000007_8014575c6c_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0956" /></a><br /><br />I overheard a worker telling a little kid this is where they put you if your mommy and daddy don't buy you enough toys in the store before handing him a fairly expensive looking box.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287742022/" title="File0957c by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2589/4287742022_885f19c236_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="File0957c" /></a><br /><br />That last part was a lie, but if I owned this store it would be part of the training video for new hires. How could that not work?<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4286999633/" title="DSC_0014 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4028/4286999633_306baf7786_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0014" /></a><br /><br />Oh and this is my cat half squat, I just tossed him in there.Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-73549874449819919992010-01-19T02:16:00.000-08:002010-01-19T02:31:39.741-08:00More stuff from TampaSo I was looking at my old pictures again and I found some more I didn't really do much or anything with. These first 2 are from Bush Gardens and the rest are from the zoo. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287002715/" title="DSC_0532 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2671/4287002715_0f70876005_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0532" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287002893/" title="DSC_0525 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4287002893_7c73cace9a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0525" /></a><br /><br />Actually these little guys may be from there aswell. Im not sure which place they were from.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287003047/" title="DSC_0670 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4057/4287003047_b67de94135_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0670" /></a><br /><br />If anybody has any tips on getting rid of glares put them in the comments. And yeah I know the angles and all that, im talking more edit related stuff. Sometimes you just get stuck with glare, my normal method of toning down didn;t really do much here. I could however change it to different colors instead of blue....thats something<br /><br />Now the Zoo stuff<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4287746542/" title="DSC_0095 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2797/4287746542_e48e147fcf_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0095" /></a><br /><br />Sorry for the darkness, its a normal theme of mine but in these shots It looks abit overdone. The tigers were behind some seriously dirty glass and it was about the only way I could get it to look like they were actually infront of me and not behind a wall of smudges. Getting things organized and reloading all my programs onto it. Here are a few more from the Disney trip the wife and I took.<br /><br />My camera was almost dead and I forgot my charger so my mom leant me hers after the wedding. I had issues figuring out how to work it, and in the end I couldn't really get it to do what I wanted. But it was nice to be able to take pictures regardless. These are all from that camaera. Except for the last one, which is totally random and non related. <br /><br />These are from the Lobby of the animal kingdom lodge<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4244428282/" title="IMG_8961 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2749/4244428282_ae12e2e8b6_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="IMG_8961" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4243654541/" title="IMG_8937 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2755/4243654541_591c3ec7a5_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="IMG_8937" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4244428660/" title="IMG_8964 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4244428660_09beb210bd_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="IMG_8964" /></a><br /><br />Actually I may have taken this one with my D90. I can't remember, but I don't think I did much if anything with the cannon of the savana.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4243654177/" title="IMG_8935 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4010/4243654177_5b74ff21ae_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="IMG_8935" /></a><br /><br />This I think was from the polonisian hotel. I know I misspelled that, but I don't want to google right now. This was in there lobby, they had a huge display set up right in the middle of it all. Very cool building, we went there for breakfast. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4244428964/" title="IMG_8976 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2764/4244428964_ced4a4649d_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="IMG_8976" /></a><br /><br />Thats what this was from, its me and Bobbie hanging out with Stitch. You can click on them on the side to get to there posts or just scroll down and I think it should show up eventually. Some of them have been quite abit over edited due to my laptop and its odd screen, but alot of them turned out well. EnjoyJason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-46501211935300494322009-12-25T23:59:00.000-08:002009-12-26T00:15:39.177-08:00Eating out<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4214722251/" title="DSC_0860 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4026/4214722251_460fe4cf32_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0860" /></a><br /><br />So we are in Orlando for our final day, we have used all of our disney tickets days up and have run out of included meals and snacks. We really didn't want to go home yet though, so we decided to go to down town disney. If you have never been there before there is quite abit to do with many photo opertunities. 2 of the bigger ones are probally there 2 main restraunts there. The Rainforrest, and T-rex. They are set up and decorated like a rain forrest or a prehistoric jungle and filled with animatronic versions of there inhabitants. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4215493262/" title="DSC_0865 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2602/4215493262_0cfa80f86c_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0865" /></a><br /><br />My wife had never been to either of these, and as I loved Dinosaurs growing up we decided to eat here. The food was actually really good, alot better then the rainforrests from my few dealings with them. Though there food is good to<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4215493032/" title="DSC_0862 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2759/4215493032_e7e45aa280_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0862" /></a><br /><br />Only thing I really didn't like about this place was the lighting, you could not get a good picture without using flash inside that building. I edited all these on my laptop, its not the best and the screen is quite abit off so I may go over them or atleast do the rest at home on my good computer. But for now, here are a few of the shots we took there. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4214723037/" title="DSC_0869 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4024/4214723037_8c42ae0400_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0869" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4215493894/" title="DSC_0870 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2527/4215493894_5a180a9d0a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0870" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4214723687/" title="DSC_0876 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2735/4214723687_dfffa09361_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0876" /></a><br /><br />This was pretty neat, we ate in a huge ice cave that was usually cool blue. It was very calming, though every 10 or so minutes it would pulse and fluctuate to this color and then to blood red for a minute or so. I have this same picture in all 3 variations. I'll have to add them in to this post later on. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4214724333/" title="DSC_0884 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2645/4214724333_a7f66d4b81_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0884" /></a><br /><br />I get that im nit picky and all, but those signs and ground lights really ruin the effect that it could be somewhat realistic. But I had already uploaded them to flickr...so tough luck.<br /><br />If you ever eat there, I have to recomend the ribs. They are in the top 2 all time greatest ribs I have had at a dining facility. They also have waffle fries wich are by default better then french fries.Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-7778211477612039932009-12-23T02:44:00.000-08:002009-12-27T02:14:36.474-08:00Some random animals<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208585848/" title="DSC_0664 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2521/4208585848_599c03f04f_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0664" /></a><br /><br />A tapir I believe, I like to think he was smiling at me. Well its very simple, I didn't use my camera during the weding, so I have no pictures other then the 1 at the very bottom of this post. However, I am getting a dvd of all the pictures taken from another photographer there in there unedited states so I can put my own spin on them. So for now, back to the honeymoon.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207747719/" title="DSC_0543 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2777/4207747719_acf93b5880_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0543" /></a><br /><br />We decided to go to Disney's Animal Kingdom and stay at there resort there. It was amazing, very pretty and there were animals in the savana outside our balcony when we woke up and got home in the evening. They even had a 4 star restraunt inside that we ate at a few times. I have more pictures from there, but i have not gotten to them yet. These are all from the park<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208512330/" title="DSC_0546 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/4208512330_9aacccef9c_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0546" /></a><br /><br />Thats the tree of life, it is in the center of the park. It is full of animal carvings like the picture above. Im not sure how many there are but its a few hundred. The thing is massive, one of the high points of the park. You really should take the time to just walk around it and look at everything on it. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207746631/" title="DSC_0525 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2548/4207746631_71a62838ea_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="DSC_0525" /></a><br /><br />This is there Christmas tree, each park had there own decorated in a fashion to go with said parks theme. I don't know why but this is the only one I have a picture of. I guess I really didn't carry my camera around to much at the parks. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207746041/" title="DSC_0527 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4207746041_87e90a037e_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0527" /></a><br /><br />We actually had the same tree in our hotel lobby, I have a few more shots of it from another camera somewhere. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208511198/" title="DSC_0528 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2646/4208511198_95f6d13055_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0528" /></a><br /><br />And of course animal kingdom has lots of animals. I got some crazy shots of them. But those will be in a seperate post. This is just a short teaser <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208511520/" title="DSC_0541 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4047/4208511520_2e88fa0b49_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0541" /></a><br /><br />A duck! Those things move fast. I have stopped fan blades on film with this camera and he was just a blur. The settings were abit different but still those wings are moving with the quickness.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208512678/" title="DSC_0551 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4022/4208512678_9460eccf78_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0551" /></a><br /><br />Ah, the finding nemo stage show. I challenge anybody to get good pictuers in this thing without using a flash. I know everybody else was doing it but rules are rules. As dark as it was everything comes out blury, fish will not sit still.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207749363/" title="DSC_0587 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2753/4207749363_5aeb0c9b83_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0587" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207748827/" title="DSC_0569 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4032/4207748827_c4fe2da004_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0569" /></a><br /><br />I don't care what they say, fish can be friends and food. Here are just a few photos from there, and the rest will be added to this same post as I upload them.<br /><br />Also I have no idea how to do night photography, as you will see. So I just do what I do when I don't know what to do to a photo. Add more grain, grain makes everything better!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208281268/" title="DSC_0037 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2538/4208281268_68069c4450_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0037" /></a><br /><br />This is a fairly old cemetary, a landmark of the city. It has quite a few bodies underneath it aswell as a few tales of its own. Nothing overly ghastly, but still some interesting stories to its residents<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4206002152/" title="DSC_0048 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2526/4206002152_af7a129a9c_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0048" /></a><br /><br />Only the richer people could afford to be burried here. However with the outbreak of diseases they had at the time there were many dead bodies who could not afford it. Actually more then those that were able to, they needed a place to put all these newly deceased corpses.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4206001678/" title="DSC_0044 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2649/4206001678_2cd18d6d4a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0044" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205243455/" title="DSC_0047 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2521/4205243455_4ce2a18998_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0047" /></a><br /><br />So they improvised, they buried them all right outside the cemetarys walls, in a nice little area where nothing grows anymore. You can still see the outline of it, nothing but solid dirt surounded by grass. A large area dedicated to the lesser fortuned dead. This was our first stop<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207586593/" title="DSC_0070 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4048/4207586593_4650fb227a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0070" /></a><br /><br />We managed to get a few "orb" shots abit further down. These are shots with unexplainable balls of light or orbs that apear in the picture with no real reason. Not a lense flair, or a reflection due to the suroundings but little errors or distortions of reality believed to be caused by wandering spirits or other ghostly beings. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207517167/" title="DSC_0030 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4207517167_80c5c7ee21_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0030" /></a><br /><br />We have a few orb shots from the cemetary, some of which are quite perplexing. But lets move on shall we? This house is a residence to what I can only assume are some interesting people. However its its oldest resident we are intersested in.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207517413/" title="DSC_0034 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2631/4207517413_7d24ed525b_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0034" /></a><br /><br />There was a older lady who used to live there, I don't quite know what happend to her, but her spirit was bound to this building. She has been constantly seen on the 2nd floor walking around or simply staring out the window. While we didn't catch a glimpse of her ourselfs we did get some interesting distortions in all of our pictures comeing from the 2nd story of the house.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4207517731/" title="DSC_0035 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4069/4207517731_978003951a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0035" /></a><br /><br />As you can see the light has moved quite abit further over, given the slight turn in the picture so have I. But nowhere near as much as the orb has, and now there is a second one near the window. Evidence of spirits at work, or just a odd mishap with my camera equipment? They show up in 4 different pictures at different places, you can decide for yourself.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208350440/" title="DSC_0055 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2785/4208350440_bbc52de9ba_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0055" /></a><br /><br />This tree has another tree growing out of it. It is said that who ever comes together under the tree and shares a kiss will have there futures forever intertwined. I shared a kiss with my girlfriend under it on my birthday and 3 months later we were married. Also, notice the kitchy shop next door. Why yes that is a shirt with a tree on it. Why thats just good marketing right there.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4208350916/" title="DSC_0104 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2742/4208350916_d229442086_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0104" /></a><br /><br />Alot of my pictures didn't turn out, this one is no exception. But there is a interesting story to it. There was a little girl who used to come see the guards at this game all the time. One day something happened to her and she was lost, they were unable to locate her. Afew years later she started to show back up again, the same young age as she was before. However whenever a guard or bystander would call out to her she would simply dissapear. It is not uncommon even today for her to make a apperance. The local police department gets calls of a young girl in odd clothing who apears to be lost near this gateway a few times a year. All describing the same person, it is a widely accepted truth to the locals and shop owners here. Yet another ghost in a city full of them.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4218482402/" title="Untitled-1 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4036/4218482402_90e660020d_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="Untitled-1" /></a><br /><br />Our next trip took us down a narrow side road with some very cool looking bricks<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4217715989/" title="DSC_0160 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2525/4217715989_d298b3840e_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0160" /></a><br /><br />We were informed not to read to much into them, they had nothing to do with what we were after that night. Still I couldn't help but be somewhat intrigued with them. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4218481532/" title="DSC_0127 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4218481532_d05891b963_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0127" /></a><br /><br />There was a nice story about the area behind this door. Couldn't get back there though, side effect of that was me forgeting the story aswell. It wasn't that interesting when I couldn't see it. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4218480986/" title="DSC_0123 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2494/4218480986_f086c691cf_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0123" /></a><br /><br />The old school house, its a very known location that alot of people seem to go buy during the day. However there not here, and I just dropped them on flickr. So if you don't get email from me here is your chance to see them. <br /><br />Its Avery at my wife's parents house, they have a sanded in area in the back and he loves it there.<br /><br />On a interesting note, none of these are edited in any way. They all just turned out nicely and there really wasn't anything I wanted to do to them. They all looked nice and warm<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205198375/" title="DSC_0329 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2595/4205198375_45826a42d3_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0329" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205198113/" title="DSC_0337 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2762/4205198113_f5e2466571_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0337" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205197911/" title="DSC_0347 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2593/4205197911_a83822abca_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0347" /></a><br /><br />Thats his Snarky look. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205956996/" title="DSC_0372 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4037/4205956996_47b2182a9a_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0372" /></a><br /><br />I promise he didn't eat it, hes a gentleman. This made me sad<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205915860/" title="DSC_0497 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2507/4205915860_e6cd3d6791_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0497" /></a><br /><br />However a new understanding, once again mostly monitary, has been reached with said flickr account and I now have unlimited uploads for a year. Happy faces all around<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205155967/" title="DSC_0377 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2678/4205155967_2a9ca71ecd_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0377" /></a><br /><br />Which means updates may continue on past events from quite awhile ago, consider them presents or gifts if you will<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4205922938/" title="DSC_0450 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4007/4205922938_ea6ffebe4c_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0450" /></a><br /><br />So look forward to more stuff in the future<br /><br />JasonJason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-13497761888754314282009-12-05T23:11:00.000-08:002009-12-05T23:18:49.337-08:00Huguenot cemetery in St. AugustineThis is one of the main cemeteries in St. Aguastine, its got some good stories to it and it a stop on most of the late night tours. Unfortunatly its not always open and I was unable to get inside, so everything is from behind the gate.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156878611/" title="DSC_0682 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2720/4156878611_ed49824781_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0682" /></a><br /><br />This gate that is.....DUN DUN DUN!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156878807/" title="DSC_0684 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2693/4156878807_5afd2fc968_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0684" /></a><br /><br />Please do not touch -or- disturb gravesites. Some nice looking stuff there, if I ever figure out this night photography stuff this would be a great place to try it out at. Get some long exposure shots with some of those sites.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156878327/" title="DSC_0672 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2511/4156878327_f94f43a913_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0672" /></a><br /><br />Another look at some of the neater objects here. I like the obelisk structure, it stands out quite abit though. Everything around it run down and just doesn't really compare to it, theres no real flow. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156877977/" title="DSC_0660 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2791/4156877977_62b6b161d3_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0660" /></a><br /><br />I don't really remember anything about this shot other then taking it. I had to stand on my tippy toes and lean over a stone wall to do it. It wasn't the most fun, but I rather like how it turned out in the end.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4157637822/" title="DSC_0630 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2605/4157637822_50b9fb37cf_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0630" /></a><br /><br />And <strong>Bam!</strong> Theres a extra fort shot, just cause. I will get the other on here soon enough, so just wait abit<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156879957/" title="DSC_0808 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2675/4156879957_baebf59f93_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0808" /></a><br /><br />From Ripley's, you really had to see it straight on to get the proper effect but the camera made that....a issue. Still you get the idea, it merges your reflection with the skull and and adjust to make them look like there the same object. Pretty neat stuff<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156879739/" title="DSC_0797 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2646/4156879739_3d14eccc23_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="DSC_0797" /></a><br /><br />Ooohhh its a Ghost! Or a projection made to look like a spirit. Honestly this has been here since I first went back in grade school. Its a dated effect but it still works well enough. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4156879417/" title="DSC_0729 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2564/4156879417_fa0a3aba79_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0729" /></a><br /><br />Ah the Vampire Hunters kit, I keep one of these in every vehicle right next to the first aid kit and spare tire. Good to see it still intact at Riply's, it looks quite old.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4157639108/" title="DSC_0694 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2540/4157639108_735669f9db_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0694" /></a><br /><br />This was over Near Ripley's, might have actually be at there entrance. 2 of them, 1 on either side. They were kind of neat looking and were abit more apealing to me then the 3 story tall david sculpture. Something about nakedness of that size is just offputting<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4157639292/" title="DSC_0726 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2661/4157639292_c55f334dc0_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0726" /></a><br /><br />Ahh Panda poo poo, who doesn't want a christmas gift made from exotic animal poop? They had stuff for elephants to, but they kind of suck as a animal.Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-73528773136718305672009-11-27T00:56:00.000-08:002009-12-05T22:49:37.495-08:00Ghost HuntingThis is the first group of pictures from my ghost hunting trip I took to St Augustine for my birthday this year. Most of this batch don't actually pertain to said ghost hunting as there more sight seeing but I have alot more to put up later<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4137270167/" title="DSC_0451 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2590/4137270167_20b4e6ee8b_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0451" /></a><br /><br />This was the house we stayed in while we were there. The Casablanca inn, it is suposedly haunted by a female spirit from back in the days of prohibition. She is seen from time to time on the 2nd floor balconies and rooftop with a lantern signaling the boats that it is okay for them to stop and make a shipment to her establishment. She used to run a illegal operation in that time period. This is actually why we stayed here, we even got a room on the 2nd floor with balcony acess though we never saw anything ourselfs.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138031702/" title="DSC_0389 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2500/4138031702_a70a7c54b9_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0389" /></a><br /><br />This was displayed in our room next to some books, it creeped me out. And you could see it sitting there at the foot of the bed while you slept. Did not like this one at all, something just off about it. Though the entire building was like that.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138032896/" title="DSC_0411 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2769/4138032896_df453cea01_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0411" /></a><br /><br />This was the street outside of our building. It was always lit up regardless of the time. The place we stayed at was out of the way and surounded by all these neat little roads and places.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138032260/" title="DSC_0404 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2595/4138032260_88ef25604e_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0404" /></a><br /><br />Another little street, this is on the way to the ghost hunt. Though those pictures will be alittle later on. Probally in another post all together. I like all the old looking buildings though.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138031914/" title="DSC_0403 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2657/4138031914_3998d77d0f_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0403" /></a><br /><br />This is where we begin our hunt, its a resteraunt with alittle store carved into the side of it. They gave us GPS's with all the hot spots programed in and they told us stories about the ghosts and history of the town as we went along. Pretty neat, and no groups so we could spend as much or as little time in each spot as we liked.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4137269255/" title="DSC_0416 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2554/4137269255_4e00edde75_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="DSC_0416" /></a><br /><br />I think this was from Flagler college, a small campus in town. They are home to a large number of Ghost sitings and reported paranormal activity. We were unable to go inside this time, but it was a very interesting looking school. They had spiked chains up instead of a fence. Tried to make it look ominous in this shot....<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138033200/" title="DSC_0433 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2730/4138033200_05bff1e2ac_b.jpg" width="500" height="752" alt="DSC_0433" /></a><br /><br />This is from the ghost hunt, though its nothing really related to that. Figured I would go ahead and throw it up. Get used to the blur, its a constant. First time doing night shots, lets just say it wasn't my best stuff. Don't recall the name of this church, we actually passed it on the way to another landmark. But I wanted to try taking a stain glass shot.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138031348/" title="DSC_0612 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2649/4138031348_c4b41b25e8_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0612" /></a><br /><br />This was at the fort, we actually have about 30 to 40 shots of various lizards. Bobbie took this one, I think the flager one above to now that I think about it. She was calling them dragons and following them around. This one was almost posing for us. And yes it is out of place with every other shot in this post<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4137325787/" title="DSC_0485 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2591/4137325787_231d78edac_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0485" /></a><br /><br />Any normal person would have started the fort pictures with this one, or maybe the one of the gate. But not me, thats not how I roll.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4137326021/" title="DSC_0494 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2737/4137326021_c37f3c141d_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0494" /></a><br /><br />BAM! Thats right I said BAM! Thats the fort gate when your crossing the bridge. Thats after you pay 15 dollars a person by the way. You can't get this far for free<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138090460/" title="DSC_0506 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2538/4138090460_240cf0ae77_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0506" /></a><br /><br />This doesn't look all that comfy to me. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4137326481/" title="DSC_0537 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2599/4137326481_a8e539c962_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0537" /></a><br /><br />Wow those colors are so unrealistic! See that dark spot in the back, thats mold. I'll probally be dead in 3 months from ingesting it for aslong as I did. I like exagerating the detales in my shots. Its fun to me.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/4138090858/" title="DSC_0586 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2703/4138090858_a2c0b744fa_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0586" /></a><br /><br />Final shot for the night, its a cannon or something. Did they have Mortars back then? Thats honestly what it looks like to me. I just liked the designs on the thing, and the color was pretty cool to.<br /><br />Well thats it for now, I have quite afew more photos but I have reached my monthly alotment from flickr. I'll be back on the 4th or 5th with anyluck with more once I get my account upgraded. Next time, Ghost hunting and plausable proof of paranormal phenomenons? Yes, yes there will be. Also I won't do it at 5am after being up all night so it may be coherent as well.Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736941296694758685.post-41106181460697133982009-06-01T10:25:00.000-07:002009-06-01T10:34:26.761-07:00This is for the Iheartfaces entry<center><a href="http://www.iheartfaces.com/"><img src="http://www.livinglocurto.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/125x125.jpg"/></a></center><br /><br />Catagory was pets, so I figured this was a good thing to put in.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/alwc37/3579228697/" title="DSC_0092 by alwc37, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3393/3579228697_2d9dbfb67b_b.jpg" width="752" height="500" alt="DSC_0092" /></a>Jason Hendonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17054737768138251926noreply@blogger.com6
