Ghost Hunting

This is the first group of pictures from my ghost hunting trip I took to St Augustine for my birthday this year. Most of this batch don't actually pertain to said ghost hunting as there more sight seeing but I have alot more to put up later

DSC_0451

This was the house we stayed in while we were there. The Casablanca inn, it is suposedly haunted by a female spirit from back in the days of prohibition. She is seen from time to time on the 2nd floor balconies and rooftop with a lantern signaling the boats that it is okay for them to stop and make a shipment to her establishment. She used to run a illegal operation in that time period. This is actually why we stayed here, we even got a room on the 2nd floor with balcony acess though we never saw anything ourselfs.

This was displayed in our room next to some books, it creeped me out. And you could see it sitting there at the foot of the bed while you slept. Did not like this one at all, something just off about it. Though the entire building was like that.

DSC_0411

This was the street outside of our building. It was always lit up regardless of the time. The place we stayed at was out of the way and surounded by all these neat little roads and places.

DSC_0404

Another little street, this is on the way to the ghost hunt. Though those pictures will be alittle later on. Probally in another post all together. I like all the old looking buildings though.

DSC_0403

This is where we begin our hunt, its a resteraunt with alittle store carved into the side of it. They gave us GPS's with all the hot spots programed in and they told us stories about the ghosts and history of the town as we went along. Pretty neat, and no groups so we could spend as much or as little time in each spot as we liked.

I think this was from Flagler college, a small campus in town. They are home to a large number of Ghost sitings and reported paranormal activity. We were unable to go inside this time, but it was a very interesting looking school. They had spiked chains up instead of a fence. Tried to make it look ominous in this shot....

DSC_0433

This is from the ghost hunt, though its nothing really related to that. Figured I would go ahead and throw it up. Get used to the blur, its a constant. First time doing night shots, lets just say it wasn't my best stuff. Don't recall the name of this church, we actually passed it on the way to another landmark. But I wanted to try taking a stain glass shot.

DSC_0612

This was at the fort, we actually have about 30 to 40 shots of various lizards. Bobbie took this one, I think the flager one above to now that I think about it. She was calling them dragons and following them around. This one was almost posing for us. And yes it is out of place with every other shot in this post

DSC_0485

Any normal person would have started the fort pictures with this one, or maybe the one of the gate. But not me, thats not how I roll.

DSC_0494

BAM! Thats right I said BAM! Thats the fort gate when your crossing the bridge. Thats after you pay 15 dollars a person by the way. You can't get this far for free

DSC_0506

This doesn't look all that comfy to me.

DSC_0537

Wow those colors are so unrealistic! See that dark spot in the back, thats mold. I'll probally be dead in 3 months from ingesting it for aslong as I did. I like exagerating the detales in my shots. Its fun to me.

DSC_0586

Final shot for the night, its a cannon or something. Did they have Mortars back then? Thats honestly what it looks like to me. I just liked the designs on the thing, and the color was pretty cool to.

Well thats it for now, I have quite afew more photos but I have reached my monthly alotment from flickr. I'll be back on the 4th or 5th with anyluck with more once I get my account upgraded. Next time, Ghost hunting and plausable proof of paranormal phenomenons? Yes, yes there will be. Also I won't do it at 5am after being up all night so it may be coherent as well.
